There are two websites that have additional information about Garrison and the Dickens Village Festival.

Garrison's local web site or the local newspaper, the McLean County Independent's web site.

Plus pick up the Dickens Gazette, a free travel guide to the festival, when you get to town for all the news.

The following news stories give you a glimpse at some of the activities at the festival.

Hungry? Eat from the street vendors

Posted 11/01/10 (Mon)

Main Street, from top to bottom on Festival nights, is packed with food vendors. Whether you’re craving sausage on a stick, spicy turkey legs, soups of every kind, pickled walleye, cheesecake, and the infamous baked potato, you’re more than covered.

Besides the great flavors, visit with the volunteers who make the festival come to life. Just watch for the wooden carts throughout the crowds of visitors who seek a special holiday taste treat.

Still hungry? Also enjoy the Garrison restaurants for some hometown hospitality.
